just have to take the songs for what they are, not mind blowing in musical or lyrical structure, all catchy as hell though

See the people standing there
who disagree and never win
And wonder why they don't get in my door

first Beatles album my parents gave me. maybe a strange choice for introduction, but definitely fell in love with how weird this one gets in places

It was also the first one I heard. Spent hours looking at that cover and subconsciously learning english.

Backing vocals in the second half of Fixing a Hole are a solid reason to live

No way is this is a strange introduction, best place to start I say.

Yeah I'd say the first side of this is pretty excellent for a start

Lovely Rita is the only song here that doesn’t completely click with me. Guitar is lackluster, melody is a little monotonous. Small qualms when considering the classic nature of the rest of this

It's one of my favorites here honestly, or better said one of the more replayable. Killer bass, infectious chanting and the last 30 seconds are trippy in a very addictive way, really brought to new life with Giles Martin's remix last year.
My least favorite is Getting Better, I think the middle part feels a bit underdeveloped when the song tries to get psychy but then it doesn't

I always forget about the last 30 seconds of lovely Rita. One of my fav things of the Beatles, how they stick interesting shorter songs near the end of their tracks, like the “mama can you take me back outro” in the white album somewhere.
I like getting better because of how brutally honest it is. Beatles were relatable as flawed humes

This album is filled with many brief ideas, it works wonderfully both as a sum of its parts and not, because their briefness boosts the replayability of individual cuts too

"My fave is Mr. Kite lol"
Agreed probs
Also the noticeable smile in the last "will you need still need me? :]" in When I'm Sixty-Four is so cute.
