I usually love the whiny crying stuff like this. I'm pretty sure Eric does too.

lol
thanks for the heads up romulus ; )

and it's funny that this comes up today -- afternoon my girlfriend was driving us back from the beach and this came up on her ipod and I was like "skip" and she was like "huh they seem like someone you'd like you're the one who put them on a mixtape for me"

but uh anyway
yeah I have nothing seriously against this album I just try to come back to it every once in a while and it still bores me : ( wish it didn't

I really couldn't at the moment, to be honest
and as against "forcing things" as I am, this album (along with that one by Women that everyone loves and a few others) I make a conscious effort to revisit every once in a while cuz I'm convinced I'm missing something and it must've been a year since I've heard this... so next time I'm in the mood in the next few days or week or so I'll try to listen to this and better narrow down what it is I dislike -- or maybe it'll end up clicking!

Eric got a point. Sometimes you don't have a great reason why you like or don't like something. You just...do.

I mean I probably have some [bullshit?] reason I just didn't care enough to remember it and hold onto it
we'll seeeeee

i mean don't force it. different strokes and what not. but damn, a 2? i couldn't imagine giving a 2 to any band brilliant enough to write a song like 13 months in 6 minutes

i mean don't force it

yea I'm generally strongly opposed to that approach towards music but every so often there's an album that loads of people whose taste I respect lots and lots regard highly yet I somehow don't so I make a point to revisit it every 6 months or year so when I'm a new listener lol

and re: the 2
don't take my ratings on sputnik too seriously at all there were only a few of them and they were done prty haphazardly... I was just like "hmmm wrens I remember that being 'below-average-y' = 2"

This Boy is Exhausted is life changing but good Lord this album could do with some trimming.
