i feel like this doesn't accomplish anything new unlike the bands previous 3 albums. this just seems like they made the album because it was time for a new album. don't get me wrong, it is still pretty good but some of it is mildly forgettable. b sides are pretty good.

My man got pb'd.
"i'm firmly in the "holy shit this is underrated" camp, probably my 3rd fav of theirs, and one of those albums I honestly can't even fathom the negative reviews for. not in a fanboy sense just a genuine "are we listening to the same album?" sense
that said, it does dip a bit toward the end and considering they were sitting on bangers like Big Kahuna & Light Up And Let Go which were simply relegated to b-sides, a little baffling they included some of the tracks they did toward the end - though Home Sick Home is the only one I'd say actually borders on being outright bad. Paths is alright, and I love Got That Feeling
No one's gonna agree with me but in an alternate universe it could have been cool to close on Billy's mix of Pristina which would have brought the Stripsearch "trip hop" vibes back one more time to close the album & give it just that slight bit more connection; I always found it very weird that was the only track like that on the album, and in retrospect that probably made it slightly more disappointing than it otherwise would have been, on first listen."
Hmm maybe it was for the best.

I haven't heard Billy's mix of Pristina but I love that closer, so I shall hear it in the next hour or so.

Once you have embrace the cheesiness, this is one of FNM's finest albums despite not being as adventurous as precios efforts, however, they did bring new sounds to the table, the Bowie-esque Helpless has some amazing vocals and a memorable chorus, whereas Stripsearch as previously mentioned by other users, brought out Trip-Hop to the table.

It’s got good tracks, but it’s not a very good album is all. I love both of those songs.

I like this one more than Angel Dust. I know it’s weird, I’ve got some glitch in the system.

you implying it was lost with king for a day? better not

Definitely, King For A Day was a slump for me. I absolutely loved The Real Thing and Angel Dust then Digging the Grave was released and it was alright then the album came out and it was overall a disappointment.
That opinion has remained unaltered in 30yrs for me.
Remember it like it was yesterday.

Damn, KFAD is such a great album for me. I feel like this is one of the few bands where their discog is flawless.
