It's probably true, what would you expect from a band like them?

My problem is not necessarily that it's underproduced btw. The drums are way too low in the mix, and the cymbals sound like
air blowing over paper.

Yeah definitely dude. If you love this you should at least jam Sister and Evol, but they have a really solid discography so it's hard to go wrong.
