And what a journey that is.

Same here artiswar, I've owned Debut for years & always liked it but never listened to it enough to explore further, that changed recently. I've already got Vespertine & Homogenic lined up, exciting times.

I am just gonna say Homogenic is in my top 3 albums of all times. Treat it with love, gentlemen.

Those are the 2 that I started with and boy are they fucking good, like damn... Recently been listening to Medulla and Vulnicura but that's it so far. Think I'm jamming this next. Get your body ready for Homogenic.

I'm definitely going chronologically (sans the s/t), I already had Debut & the next 3 inc. this one were considered her 'golden era'. A lot people tell you to go chronologically with every artist (which I disagree with) but with Bjork it probably makes sense.

Yeah, it's perfect with Björk, it's such an amazing and yet logical evolution of her sound. Every album seems like an answer to the one beore, in the way that it is completely different. (This is perhaps the only exception, since it continues the sound of Debut.)

You've scared me now Rik, as I really enjoy Debut & this is even better... hoping it's 'completely different' in a way I still dig.

Sort of different than debut

It has the trumpets and stuff, but a lot of the material of this was written by the time of Debut as far as I know, and I think it shows. It's just a bit similar considering how different the other Björk albums are compared to each other.
But don't be scared, Sunlight, because they are amazing and the Björk magic remains the same (a bit less so in Volta imo but still).

A small dose of apprehension isn't going to derail my Bjork-shaped traverse into the unknown. Fear not, my commitment to this journey hasn't wavered. Perhaps it'll lower my expectations just enough, making what's to come even more spectacular?

Vespertine after Homogenic is gonna blow your mind Sunlight.

While there's nothing as good as Human Behavior on here yet, this is far more consistently good than Debut, and I think the jazz element is better executed here

probably my favourite by bjork so far, only really listened to this and Homogenic in full but I've heard several tracks from Debut and Medulla.
