This album is exhibit a for my theory that one of the most important factors in making great ambient is song titles that could double as fanfic titles

Articulate Silences, Pt. 1

Fog, a window. Hush. Nobody ever tells you that the best cure for a broken heart is to stop feeling things until they're lifeless enough to put in the places where they used to be again. If emotions had a sound, it would be a loud sigh but somehow violent. I stayed very still so that I couldn't hear myself moving, or even breathing - - and that was when Candace walked into my studio apartment with no door for the first time in many morose months.

(keep it goin!)

Articulate Silences, Pt. 2

She was the very picture of vacancy. Her scent, the overpowering musk of odourless liquid detergent, tickled at my nostrils. Her movements were dignified, stately, statuesque. We locked eyes - - I stared at her shoes. A scowl etched its way across her features, and I knew she wanted me back. Determined to set the precedent, I endeavoured to say nothing. Maintaining eye contact, she sashayed into the kitchen, opened the top cupboard and coerced the can of wet cat food from its lofty perch into her birdlike hands. That was the last I saw of her. Those were the last words we spoke.

Even if You're Never Awake (& the outro) are definitely a high moment on the album.
