also chamber pop is a derivative form of the genre (not the same genre) that grew out in the 80s and 90s indie pop scenes. rather popular with the underground, diy, and lo-fi indie pop scenes still today.

What makes chamber different from baroque? That's my question.

well there's no 'baroque folk' in the sense that there's a baroque pop (there is, however, supposedly a 'folk baroque' genre/trend which refers to a very specific style of guitar folk music in the 60s, which absolutely no real relation to chamber folk).

Well I mean chamber music is usually for small ensembles while baroque involves/involved a full orchestra. But when it comes to chamber/baroque pop that doesn't really apply.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baroque_pop
"Baroque pop soon declined after the 1960s [citation needed]. In the 1990s, chamber pop would derive from the "spirit" of baroque pop, characterized by an infusion of orchestral arrangements or classical style composition. It is generally within an indie setting, and can be seen as a reaction to the lo-fi production that dominated in the 1990s"

chamber pop is heavily influenced by baroque pop but it isn't necessarily the same thing. chamber pop came into being largely as response against the dominating alt rock scene of the 80s and the burgeoning lo-fi indie rock scene with a focus on melody and clarity.
it particularly differs from baroque pop because it doesn't use classical baroque tropes (bouncy rhythm, simultaneous melodies, etc.)
as for chamber orchestra music, i couldn't very well tell you. i do believe that a chamber orchestra is typically smaller in size; so it focuses on quality and intensity of the work being played, in a way that a concert orchestra could not.

If you're talking about classical music, this isn't true at all. Chamber music is ALWAYS for small ensembles (that's literally what chamber music is) and Baroque refers to a a style and a time period, not an instrumentation.
As for chamber pop and baroque pop, I have no idea.
