How do you figure? I mean obviously he is nowhere as good as most elite shredders but he is pretty damn good.

he has a song where does a hundred guitar tracks of one guitar riff and it only sounds like 5 guitars

I mean for the type of music he played he was a really good guitar player. In that time he played he is one of the best blues/rock guitar players.

My friend had a classical guitar teacher who meets with Paul Gilbert quite often around where I live.

Apparently, Steve Vai's theory is worthless.(lol mj)



He says that he[Vai] could play a very complex piece on guitar but he couldn't tell you what the

composer was trying to express in the piece.

Kinda sounds like me.

Is it artistically worthless?

Me too lol, But I'm not one to use theory at all actually.

There are allot of guitarist who don't use theory or a formula.

I know how things work, just can't explain it if I had to.
