I don't like their new album, their stuff with Jari is a hundred times better, but they played Deathbringer From The Sky when they co-headlined with Amon Amarth and it was epic, their entire set was great.

The guy from Norther is a pretty solid substitute. I never really payed much attention to Petri and Jari but I like songs from old and new Ensiferum. I would have killed to see them with Eluveitie.

The awesome thing about this is there's no distinct filler, and considering it's over an hour...pretty swell

The symphonic elements themselves are cheesy but the harsh vocals and german lyrics keep it from sounding all that cheesy to this young american lad.

melodic cheese that could be a new genre!

You gentlemen are confusing cheese with melody.
there's no thing that is less cheesy than melody. all I wanna say is that the symphonic parts and the lyrics (if you speak German) are among the cheesiest cheeses you've ever set your eyes upon. they have a lot of talent in them, though, if they just could stop naming their songs "Wurzelbert" or "Snüffel" I'd be very thankful. probably my rating would be higher if they sang in Hungarian or something.

Well what do the song titles mean then? I know Blut Im Auge means "Blood in Eye" or something like that but im too lazy to check the other ones.

What a load of rubbish! Depending on how you view the construction of music in the first place, melody is arguably the most important thing that you should focus on if you want to make emotional, memorable music. There is nothing more important in music than melody. That's what you meant to say.
actually all I wanted to say was that you're wrong accusing us gentlemen of confusing cheese and melody.
for the songtitles:
1. Prologue on Earth
2. something that sounds like a figure from a children's book but that's probably some kind of mystical thingy
3. Blood in the Eye
4. Unconquered
5. Betrayal
6. some non-existing word that sounds like the name you'd give a little cute dog
7. Homeward
8. not a word at all actually just some piece of shit sounding mystically
9. The Willow and the River
10. The Singer's Grudge
11. Cry in the Wind
12. Dusk
13. well, ManaThis Message Edited On 02.04.09
