I think the new one is actually really good. This one's special though. Still one of the best modern melodeath albums for my money.

It's better than the two before, that's for sure. I just think it's a bit short on ideas. If they turned it into an ep, it would be every bit as good as this in my book.

Looks like they said they were going in to the studio to record it in late 2016. They said it would be released in 2017. Then there was no news till October 2018 when they announced the title and had that clip with the community choir and that was the last news we got. I definitely thought it was coming in 2019 at that point. I don't understand when bands say it's pretty much done and then don't follow up for years, especially when it's planned as a trilogy from the start, which would imply consistent release dates. I'm still super hyped about it because phase 1 is my favorite thing they have done.
