I can never decide between Gateways/Formulas for 1 and 2

Nah cotton is based

i don’t mind Pete’s triggers but they sound terrible on gateways, especially the triggered snare which he usually doesn’t do.
that’s the major reason gateways is low for me, because I’m a big stickler for production. otherwise it’s top tier trey riffs.

Yeah this used to be much close to the top of my list when I was in high school, but alas
Still can hear some Gojira influence on this one, weirdly enough

Eyes to See, Ears to Hear is probably my favorite Morbid Angel track off of the sheer nostalgia alone. Such a catchy ass jam. If I remember right it was the first song from them I ever heard and then shortly after I got an Earache 6 disc set that had Maze of Torment and Chapel of Ghouls on it along with boatloads of other awesome shit.
Highly recommend that 6 Disc Metal: A Headbangers Companion to anyone out there just discovering extreme metal if it is still fairly affordable to get your hands on. I know there was a volume 2 but I'm unsure of what was included on it. I found a lot of awesome shit from that set though. Ultraviolence- Hardcore Motherfucker was another major highlight from it, although a completely different style.
