Hahaha their interview with MTV Canada was hilarious.
"To all the kids out there, can we tell them all right now, do not smoke crack"
"....I can't tell them that"

I like the way Arif left the crowd speechless with whatever comment we made towards that kid, I think it was an indirect insult but I'm not sure.

This is a wicked album. As someone has said before i think, more tech and less poppy. But there are so many things thrown in there, from like KSE to Sikth to even some Red Chord and Clutch. And some old school prog in there too. etc! So many influences rolled into one!

Ever since hearing Kezia, I have been a huge fan of this band. I began watching any video I could find, preparing myself for the live shows I will attend whenever they come around. This is my favorite band right now, and while I really want to love Fortress, some things just really keep it from being an album of absolute kickassery.
The unnecessary keyboard, the cat's meow (just doesn't fit at all), and as was stated before, the relentless double bass beats. The album is obviously filled with amazing musicianship, but the catchiness from Kezia is gone. The double bass beats irritate me more than anything because Moe is an awesome drummer, but it just seems to me that he didn't take the time to throw in more slick grooves.
The album is obviously more prog-metal, and Rody's voice even evolved into this proggish voice, and I just hope they don't try to progress too much, and become something they aren't.
Overall, I think this is a great album, but it has its faults. I hope they retain some of their early sound in the future, including the punk/hardcore roots. This Message Edited On 01.26.08

And yea, that post was just kinda tossed around and posted, without much thought going into constructing fluid sentences.

Well, my right computer speaker is much quieter (like, if you cover the left speaker you can only hear a little from the right) than the left for the past week or so. Maybe the "meow" is geared towards that speaker? Ill check again. Thanks btw.
