just listened to the first disc of this for the first time. was awesome. the end crescendo in europa was pretty powerful. haven't listened to it combined and i don't know if i need to, at least for a while. sounds good as it is and i imagine the combined one might be a little overwhelming, since i'd just be listening with stereo headphones, rather than a quadraphonic set up as intended. it isn't supposed to be synced up such that the ambient tracks come through the same speakers as the first disc.
