Power Metal can be good when done by the right bands, some of Savatage stuff comes to mind, Perfect Man by Rage is also pretty hard hitting.
Theres stuff outside of the lame shit that Sabaton, Symphony X, Rhapsody of Fire, Galneryus, Blind Guardian, and the likes put out.
