This isn't their most consistently badass but still brilliantly badass in several moments enough to warrant the score I give it.
I prefer The Eye of Every Storm, Through Silver in Blood, Given to the Rising, and A Sun That Never Sets to this, but that means nothing in Neurosis terms compared to other bands.

Times of Grace is pretty much for live settings. why do you think they went from TSIB to this then to ASTNS (which they made without planning on playing the songs live).

I've only seen them live once, but the songs they did from TSIB went over just as well as anything else they did. (Although they didn't do anything from this.)

only song of theirs I could say for sure I would put in there is Purify. too many others are just so damn good, it would be too hard to eliminate that many.

Purify is quite awesome, and definitely my favorite from TSIB. Stones From the Sky is my favorite overall Neurosis track though.
