Man, the Suffering is the first song that really, really got me into Coheed. I had heard Favor House Atlantic, but then I heard the Suffering and was all YES PLZ. And then I heard Welcome Home and it was all over from there.

People don't seem to get that a lot of this is black comedy. In the context of what's happening, Wake Up and the Suffering at the least are absolutely hysterical

Oh an album where every other song is about killing and a talking bike, a tender love song and a song about ending suffering through marriage are pretty jarring without being under that lense

I've never gotten into the story at all. I may appreciate those tracks more if I did, but my interest in Coheed has dropped off hard. Ascension gave me some hope but they promptly went back to being mediocre.

Pretty safe to say that the production on this is spot on

I have a really hard time trying to come up with any songs that are objectively better than Willing Well II & III. ...by any band I mean

^Agreed, as much as I love Chris. Still, his work on Year of the Black Rainbow was insane.

And thanks Cal, does indeed rule ;]
