the cold comfort of the in-between
a little less than a human being
a little less than a happy high
a little less than a suicide
the only things that you really tried

distorted reality is definitely the right pick to close this

those are perhaps the best lines Elliott ever wrote

does anyone know any other artists that sound like some of the noisier cuts off this, like coast to coast? I'm obsessed. The melodies are perfect, and theres this mix of sinister anger and sunny harmonies, so addictive...

They're far from the best
But they might suit you better than the rest
Just looking in the mirror
Will make you a brave man
I know my place
Hate my face
I know how I begin
And how I'll end
Strung out again

King’s Crossing is like a noisy old Wilco song.

I got this album by now a long long while ago. And even a shirt that is a bit ripped up. I still have off Interpunk (golly anyone remember them). Fond Farewell was always my favorite because it was the saddest song of the album. I haven't heard this in full in awhile, but it is an interesting experiment of song collection posthumously I think so there is a variety of ideas and song styles here.
The final song is amazing titled but I can't say I remember how it goes at all. I should rectify that.

Twilight is probably his best song
