I think I'll wait a few years and decide how I feel. In Flames has been such an important part of my life I feel like I could at least appreciate it even if I don't dig the band later. They have basically been in my heavy rotation since nearly soon after I discovered music at about 15, I have been listening to this band for 8 years and I never get sick of their music. My favourite band in high school I have like 5 shirts of them still lol. There have been times where I take breaks away from it but then it always comes back eventually and hits so hard. In Flames are probably the biggest reason I got so into music in the first place and especially how I got into heavier music.
As sad as it is to say though their new albums have been pretty abysmal and I kind of want them to break up before they completely sully their legendary status.

I have band tattoos they're sweet af. Remember the immortal words of Chuck Schuldiner - "Do you remember when, things seemed so eternal? Heroes were so real? Their magic frozen in time." If a band has had a big enough influence on you, they will always be a part of you, regardless of how you feel years from now. That is their magic frozen in time - a meaningful part of your life that no one can take away from you and will never be irrelevant. That's how I feel about them.

what band tattoos do you have evilford?

I have the cover of through silver in blood on my right arm, the dark side of the moon prism on my left wrist, and CDGNP (for Coroner, Death, Gorguts, Neurosis and Pink Floyd) on my left arm going down my arm, and the letters are typeset in the font from each respective band's logo

Thx. I am happy w/ it :3

That's one thing I'm considering for my sleeve (if I ever get the money I need to finish it), I love that cover

Yeah conservatism is still rampant in the states but luckily they're starting to ease up on some stuff. Luckily my employer encourages individuality and has no problem w/ tattoos; several members of my team alone have visible tatts

| |
Plus like I said before, I'm pretty sure I'm on the path I want to follow and must continue to fight the good fight m/
But yeah it sucks that you have to be careful expressing yourself for the purpose of employment

"
I'd get tattoos, but I'm at a stage in life where I'm not sure what path I really want to follow, so getting one may close a door or two (especially in Australia, where conservatism reigns supreme and job opportunities are scarce as it is)...."
I'm graduating business school soon myself. If I were to get a tattoo I'd just get it somewhere where it isn't visible in dress pants and short sleeves, would likely get it on my upper arm on the center of my upper back.

getting tattoos isnt really going to affect your ability to get a job. people are becoming more and more accepting of them, and even if theyre not just wear long sleeve shirts. im not worried about it. luckily the place i work at right now doesnt give a shit what you wear or look like.
