Youthanasia is Countdown to Extinction's less good looking brother. It's still fairly enjoyable, but treads a lot of the same ground as the previous one and ends up missing more than it hits. That being said this was, in my opinion, the last good MegaDave album until United Abominations.
In the end I can't blame MegaDave for going back to the well after the success of Countdown. I'd of done the same.

Yes I agree, probably one of his best vocal performances.
But I really like is raw detuned voice in his early records. If someone more vocal talented was there I probably didn't like those records so much.

Well its a better match for the more aggressive music that accompanies it. This is much more of a hard-rock record with some sweet metallic riffs. The vocals suit it.
To look at it another way, I hum riffs on older records but sing along to this.
