Agreed, or 'prepubescent', Angela Gossow's vocals are considerably more manly.

This is too generic to be a 4.5, but it is good nonetheless. I like the vocals and some of the riffs.
A negative side of this album for me was the use of "fuck" or "fucking" in many, many of the songs. In metalcore, using fucking occasionally can be powerful if used properly. But they throw it around carelessly and some of their songs are immaturely written and named.

personally i like this album a lot. they aren't really metalcore imo... i can't see how you all say they are. generic? maybe a bit, but his screams are very unique. the dude like snarls.

I actually stopped good music to listen to their crap. And with those songs names, I cannot take these guys seriously. This album doesn't even deserve a rating.

I like this band. I mean they're not amazing but I'm sure people wouldn't hate them as much if they weren't so popular and didn't look the way they did. but hey, what do you expect from a bunch of death metalheads?



Confessed, of the bands you listed, TBDM is the only one i care for, and i still think BMTH has better vocals. TBDM was first, but Sykes just has more venom in his screams. I listen to converge a little but can never really get into it, and JFAC are joke. They're music, while interesting sometimes, is often nothing more than just a blizzard of noise, and if that's what your in to, fine.



They're a pretty good band, and this is a pretty good album. It's not terribley original or spectacular, but it deserves more than a 2.5.

I might seem like a tool some times but occasionaly I do like to drop some knowledge on the misinformed youth. Might not be as well versed in straight up death metal like you and Soh but I do know some quaility stuff coming out of that area.

I don't want to bother listening to them considering their fucking dumbass nicknames they give themselves and how they dress like straight-up faggots.

Well pardon my ignorance. I don't keep myself up on the ways of death metal. it's just such limited music. these guys just caught my attention somehow. i'm not saying they're a great band, i just think they get alot more shit from people than they need to. but yea, you're right i've yet to listen to Death or anything else. i will eventually but right now i'm more into...TECHNO!!! Uhn tis uhn tis uhn tis uhn tis!!!! And just because i love the hate, I LIKE THE NEW AVENGED SEVENFOLD ALBUM AND ATREYU'S ISN'T HALF BAD EITHER!!!
