I know this album is about the singer's sister's death, but how did she die?

The album is dedicated to her and the last song is about her, but the other songs don't appear to be. It's never really explicitly explained how she died and Adam's never really stated how in any interviews. This Message Edited On 07.01.06

I think this album is due for another round in the CD player now. After being left on a high from 'Desperate Mans Diary', its tim to capitalise on that feeling and head back to older times.
This album is still one of my favourite ginders around.

I find myself enjoying this cd quite a bit, but the clean vocals just kill In Between the Sheets for me... I dislike them alot.

It's technical death metal with a touch of metalcore
There aren't a lot of bands that sound the same, BTBAM kind of does but not that muchThis Message Edited On 12.01.06

Good music, and I do like the vocalist, but a lot of the songs just don't hook me at all, so I've never been able to get super into these guys. They've always been just one of those bands that I thought were okay and listen to once in a while when I've exhausted everything else on my playlist.
'Between the Sheets' and 'Pencil Lead Syringe' are the only tracks that stand out in my mind as being anything special.

I was obsessed with this cd for a while. Unfortunately, the BTBAM influence kind of bled over on their new album. Its still really good, but I feel they lost a little bit of their sound. This album rules.

Great review man, I think you just introduced me to one of my new favorite bands. After checking out your review I downloaded this album, burned it, and fell in love haha, this band is amazing. Everything about it is great, the bass is one of the best I have heard on a hardcore/death metal album, I'm in love with the guitars, it can go from the hardcore chug chug and switch to the death metal riffs in seconds, the drumming is fantastic, the double bass at the end of And So It Was Said was just killer, and the breakdowns, my god they have some of the best breakdowns I have ever heard. Not to mention the singer is brutal, I mean everything about this CD is just brutal. I never heard of this band before I read you're review, now there one of my favorites, thanks man

Best (and I dont feel bad about saying it) Deathcore album out there.
These Whitechapel, Veil Of Maya, Viatrophy, Eternal Lord and The Red Shore make the genre credible.

This is such a great album. "A Grey A.M." makes me cry and then want to crush things over and over again.

Completely agree this is by far one of the most passionate Death Metal/Metalcore cds ever recorded.I really consider this a classic album. You just don't see songs like Pencil Lead Syringe,In Between The Sheets, and A Grey A.M in this genre anymore.Cody has some of the sickest growls i have ever heard. These guys need to tour again...soon.
"I'll let the world know what a wonderful person it'll never get to meet" so sad.
