personally, i think they can, i heard a song on their myspace called Hell, and it was supposed to be released on this CD along with a rare track called 'Monster', but wasnt, and both of those were great. plus, Dan can solo, so it will be interesting.

Anywho... I'm pretty sure he's saying "sacred life" in the song.
I refuse to change

still a kickass song nonetheless. as a matter of fact, i am going to go look at the lyrics.
edit: just did, and he alternates Sacred Lie and Sacred Life, so both of us are right. This Message Edited On 10.03.06

the first single off this (stricken?) i thought was really good, and the second was okay, however i'm loving the genesis cover!!! theyre the second metal band to cover it and do it total justice, the other being in flames.

I HATE the Genisis cover.
Thanks Acey, lets be friends...

"Land of Confusion" sounds a lot different from the Disturbed I know. Does the rest of the album sound like that?

no, not at all

This is the album that led me into all other types of metal, so I gotta love it. I don't even find this to be really like nu metal, I believe The Sickness to be their only nu metal record. This is just metal.

this is actually more liek heavy rock now. They left the nu-metal name after Believe, which already stepped away from the genre.

Isn't that a cover? Which would explain the difference.

It's a Genesis cover.

Land of Confusion is easily my least favorite song on the album. I dont know how it became a single, I didnt even know that it was possible for covers to be singles.

Theres like a whole group of kids at my school that worship Disturbed and they think they are the best band ever. I never could really get into them.
|
| |
Me neither. They're OK, but I don't see myself buying a Disturbed CD.

Yeah, I only consider them to be about average as I look back now.
I still consider them as one of my favorite bands, but its really only because they basically got me into music when I was little. I cant really listen to them anymore, besides maybe some Believe songs and Overburdened.
