Aside from the fact that it’s Brandon Flowers doing Americana, I really don’t think this is terribly similar to Pressure Machine. But it scratches the same itch, for sure. This one feels a little more fun, lower stakes, less intense. It also leans more heavily into country, which is pretty cool (and surprising). Overall really enjoying this and I hope it only means he continues going this direction!
I will say though, One of Us is repetitive enough that I really only need to hear it like once a month lol
