yeah I love this album. I firts heard it on musixzone.com after I just bought ten wanting to have more of pearl jam. though songs like bugs seem like a song filler cordoury is the best track on there every time I listen to the album I turn it up on this song.

This review is awesome? Reading this one inspired me to write one myself. yeah I realize the review is old and standards were lower back then, but still.
There's no filler here, just great song after great song giving the album strong consistency.
Consistency definetly isn't the strongest part of this album. songs like Aye Devanita, Bugs, pry to, and the last track are not even as close as good as other greats on the album like Betterman, Spin the black circle, and Immortality. This Message Edited On 04.15.06

Pearl Jam is not "grunge." I hate that term, but it often describes bands like Mudhoney pretty well since they have a very raw and fuzzy sound sound to them.

how come your final rating was 4.9/5 but at the top you gave it a 4? anyways, better man is a great song.

Personally, I think this is PJ's greatest achievement, but its not my faviorite (Vs. is ). The best song imo is Whipping.

I saw a performance of them and Neil Young and it was pretty good. I'd shit myself if I had the chance to play with Neil Young.
Better Man is the best on this, hands down.

Spin The Black Circle, Nothingman, Better Man, Not For You are all some of my favorite tracks. Although this isn't my favorite Pearl Jam album.

PJ's second best. I love the quirkiness of this album, combined with PJ's great songwriting makes for a very entertaining listen.

Decided I like Spin The Black Circle better than Better Man. That song fucking rocks.

Would be the best PJ album next to 10 if not for the filler....

3 and 4 are easily my favorite PJ songs ever written. I like how shot out they were on this record. Might be why this is my favorite by them.

If only they had replaced some of those garbage(and really disturbing) tracks with some great songs (not hard for PJ), this would be a 4.5

There are great tracks though, like Better Man and Nothingman. Even the shorter tracks like Whipping and Aye Davanita are great

I don't really get into the weird tracks, but as for the 10 real tracks I think their possibly Pearl Jam's best set of songs yet. Had Pearl Jam taken out 2 or three of the weird tracks, I think this could have more widely been seen as the 90s classic it is

Strangest Pearl Jam album by far, took me a long time to get into, but great stuff nonetheless
