I found myself bored through most of this. It's not as adventorous as Hell or High Water or Hawkboy, and it's obviously very removed from their post-hardcore roots. I'd argue even Scream Through the Walls, though all over the place, is more interesting than this.

Thx, banana. Finally gave this a listen. Idk, may just need to give it a few more solid listens before I settle on my feelings. I really like the song Steady My Heart. Been going back to listen to it quite a bit.

This is more and more reminiscent of Hell or High Water the more I listen to it, and I actually think I love this album more than that one even. Both are great!

@omgbecky I went back and listened to Scream Through the Walls when this album released and actually did not really enjoy it all that much. I think I gave it a 3.0 and that was probably generous. It just lacks the punch of this album or the connectivity the previous albums make you feel to the music. In my opinion.

while I really do love the musical aspect of this album and I feel that the comparison to HOHW is pretty accurate from that front, the vocals are just kinda flat on most songs, sometimes the songs just kinda meander for a while and go nowhere (see Devil Cell) I really love what they were trying to go for here, but the vocals kill me on most tracks

@elry2k Scream has that umph that I crave, but I see what you mean. My feelings are the same as yours if you flip the albums. Unfortunately, this album don't be breathing life into me. Still really like Steady My Heart, it's reminiscent of the first & last tracks on CNS.
