I wish some of the songs were longer and had some jammier sections. Fotochrom felt like it ended when the drums were supposed to come in. I want my 11 minute tracks

Ya ngl I was a little disappointed when the song ended, I really did not expect that to be an interlude style track and then it ended lol

Totally okay with them being part of the Armed universe. I personally have enjoyed this and the last album the most out of their catalog, and Tony Wolski has a lot to do with it.

Album slaps but yeah I'll agree there were a few moments where it felt like another 1-2 minutes could have been used to elevate a track even further - 'Future Worship' and 'Like Fotochrom' come to mind for sure, would have loved an extra few minutes to enjoy 'Fotochrom's atmosphere and one final heavy section to finish off 'Future Worship' would have been nice.

Also surprised that no one has mentioned it yet but the mid-to-late instrumental section of 'Tomorrow Mirage' is fucking delicious.

I see what you´re saying about the length of the songs, but I like how lean and straight to the point most of the record is. Every song is a hit for me

"sorry demon, apart from "born prey" there is no harkening back to the early times."

damn, he was more right than I realised. This sounds like it leans into influences far from their origins, even if they insisted on keeping a slither, to no benefit of the overall imo (then again, this would've made zero difference to someone who isn't a fan of said influences in the first place).

yeah I'm not hearing all the influences to the first two albums people are talking about here except maybe via the overall mood. still rules though.

i mean just off the top of my head parts of nothing bloom in the hollow and born prey have similar riffage to their early stuff, and i don’t think the synth work is significantly different either. it’s more dream weapon for sure but this still sounds like a genghis tron record to me

I Am All's outro chugs sound like Relief's chuggy bits. Signal Fire and Nothing Blooms opening riffs with the hammer on/pull offs sound exactly like old school GT. The second half of Tomorrows Mirage sounds like the outro to the Board Up the House title track. Born Prey is self explanatory. The similarities are all over the place, just filtered through the newer Dream Weapon sound.

This for sure sounds much closer to Dream Weapon than old school Genghis, but idk I guess this is the record that I wish Dream Weapon was
