This has horrendous pacing sometimes but overall, I'll say they pulled it off exceptionally well (except Tim and Troy, they have always sucked at their game). Beautiful Lie and Rapture already feel like classics.
I guess the self titled is a good point of reference. Especially given how synth-heavy this one is.

yeah the album's pacing is it's biggest issue, doesn't help when most of the tracks have the same/similar tempos, makes everything kinda bleed together at times

One listen through and it did not do much for me.. Afterlife was great because it took me straight back to early 2000s Evanescence ... Amy can still belt but I found the songwriting boring mostly.

I would love them to stay in that sound, but a lot of times its always feel like the 100th attempt remake of My Immortal or Sweet Sacrifice.
