I don't like this, "Day of the Baphomets" excluded.

I liked the review and agree with you, I find TMV quite boring, even the lead singer (I'm sorry I don't know his name) agrees with me, he has said he can't imagine anyone liking this other than himself ( In a interview)

Bah, TMV are the most overrated band EVER. De-Loused was a great album, Frances a mired mess of wankery and self-indulgence, and this one, while keeping the retarded ambient sections out, ends up sounding like a less-good version of Frances anyways. Day Of Baphomets sounds a bit like Tool in that intro (very good song btw). TMV need to get over the fact that their music ISN'T going to ressurect Jesus with it's greatness and get back to the more rock-oriented De-Loused sound... or just break TMV up and go back to At The Drive-In, who were only about 56,642,424 times better.

Shut-up....they are not nearly close to being the most overrated band ever. Tool would get that award long before TMV. And I think De-Loused is the only overrated album, alot of those songs blend together and sound the same to me. TMV musicianship, and Cedric's vocals are much improved from At The Drive-In. Go listen to Sparta if you wan't conventional sounding music, albeit...crappy conventional sounding music. The Mars Volta were formed because Cedric and Omar believed that they were making the same record over and over with At The Drive-In.

According to you, maybe. Many more people do not believe that. Piles of bands are overrated, claiming Tool, of all bands, tops the list is utterly ridiculous.

he didnt say that Tool tops the list, moron. he just said that they would get the title before TMV would.

Well, I suppose you are right, but picking on Tool to prove a point is weak, when the poster only casually names the band. I could see if Strizz said directly Tool was much better, but to go on the attack at a mention?

Also, grow up, I misread his post, you do not need to act like a child.

You already ruined the experience all by yourself, in countless interviews with Omar and Cedric, part of the experience and what ruins it is skipping over tracks, it's like fast forwarding through a book or movie, you can't just skip over something cuz you have the attention span of a rock and prefer to go back to your nickelback. Obviously your not too keen on prog if you prefer 2 minute songs about losing a girlfriend over a 16 minute epic and display of real talent through amazing bass and guitar work, as well as small percussion and sound manipulation. If your too slow to comprehend the genius that the mars volta is, you should go back to your mudvayne.

lol , strizz matik or whatever your name is, you judge tmv and find them boring, yeah and i checked your profile, YOUR FAVORITE GENRE IS PUNK, ofcourse you find them boring cuz you are too retarded to get into prog so you listen to 3 chord riffs and screeching vocals about high school.

Kyleisgreat, even the name is conceited as you are you stupid asshole, cedric doesn't agree with you, he knows tmv is different and knows it's a love or hate relationship, he doesn't find his music boring you underminded fuck.

anyways, half of these critics with negative reviews don't even listen to prog or experimental, so who the fuck are you to bash something you don't like in the first place, go back to your shit punk and metal, your too slow to make something as perfect as tmv anyway.

I'm happy by this argument, I am laughing my ass off.

I love TMV, prog is awesome.

I find it funny that people with other musical interests review TMV and say that they are overrated.

That's uncalled for. You can't honestly ask people to respect your favorite genre if you can't respect theirs.

I'll probably pick this up soon, depending on how I like Frances the Mute. Deloused was ace.
