A few tracks in and it does sound like the boys have found their way.

It's pretty cool how the two core members have been there from the beginning. I think Mustis' songwriting is sorely missed, though the synths on this new one are fantastic and definitely in keeping with their sound.

Kinda surprised to hear that classic dimmu fans will like this because I did not get a classic dimmu vibe from the singles

Ok just finished. A lot to digest (maybe too much?) but there's a lot of a variety. Bits and pieces of all eras tbh, for example the piano definitely reminds me of Enthrone Darkness Triumphant. Some parts even remind me of Bal-Sagoth lol.

Bal-Sagoth huh? Interesting lol. I have to jam more from that band tbh.

I like raw black metal but the drums on those first few albums sound like slapping a fish on a countertop I'm sorry.

No worries, Hawks. I’m a big fan of Dimmu, I just like the vibe of that album lmao. Not even their best album, but there’s something that album has that I haven’t ever heard from a black metal band.

Go back to that style, you cowards!

The drums do sound kinda ass on the first two albums but it's part of the charm lol. I love the atmosphere on those two

At the Precipice of Convergence is the standout for me rn.

Props to them for regaining form. Maybe they'll have a modern Cradle run.

Always a place in my heart for DB. They got me into BM in the first place.
