Wow, those reccomendations are really off.

I did the reccomendations to give a few better albums as opposed to albums that sound like this one. I think very few albums would be comparable to this one stylistically.

Well, people who actually enjoy this album aren't looking for emocore and Mastadon, I'd think.

probably not, but I figured it would be worth a shot. That sort of stuff would have probably come up if I just let it go off of what people rated it. Meh, what can you do?

More underOATH would likely have come up. Saosin, etc.

Huhuh. I negged you a long time ago for this, just because you rated it a 1.5.
I changed that though.
Nice review.

Well, thanks for coming foreward. It always made me wonder who did it.

Top review! And I LOVE Underoath, this is probably their worst release from what I've heard; though Act Of Depression is alright.

I could not agree with you more, this album is by far one of the worst. and hardest to listen through. 6 tracks=50 minutes, that's terrible! No matter what the band. And the lyrics are just garbage.
very well done review

oh yes the length of the songs determines the quality
|

when they are already bad songs, I think it can.

i dig the first 3 CDs (this one, CotP, and TCoT) more than the last 2 (TOCS, DtGL), mainly because of Dallas lyrics. while i agree that occasionally his can be really pushy/preachy, there are so many "darker", more "evil" bands that push their beliefs (or rather, their lack of beliefs) with just as much intensity in their music as well as their image.
but i understand that you're not really an UO fan to begin with. and while i don't agree with your review, it was well written. you stated your case and you were able to back it up, unlike so many other neg reviews that basically just say "this sux cuz i said so."

also FYI, there is a hidden track on this CD called "Spirit of a Living God". it clocks in at 9:07. the first 4 minutes is basically Dallas telling people about how jesus can change your life, then the rest of the track is (supposedly) Aaron singing the actual song. (Wikipedia says it's Aaron's voice, but i think it's too deep to be him, especially since he was 14 when he joined the band.)

Horseless Carraige, thank you very much. I'm glad you could appreciate the review, regardless of how much you agreed with it.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THEM! MY MOM DOSNT LIKE MY MUSIC BECAUSE IT IS ALL SCREAMING AND YOU CANT UNDERSTAND A WORD, BUT SHE LIKES THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE A CHRISTIAN BAND. I LOVE THEIR SONG ON THIS CD WATCH ME DIE. I LOVE THE LYRICS. THEY TALK ABOUT HOW THEY LOVE GOD. IT IS GREAT!
