I'm sure in your perfect ideological world all the groups/ bands/ etc. of thinkers have zero dirt? My point is clear and no, I do not advocate for Nazis/ hate groups because I realize what they've done in the past is abhorrent. However I could give two fucks about ideology. No matter what side you choose in this world, you're always hurting someone. I think we all need to grow up and realize these are all minority groups with a rather loud message that obviously works if you get butt hurt about it. Another point I would like to make is if you protest/ speak out against these assholes, they win and you have given them the attention they deserve. Anyway, luke warm take but shitty people can make great music, talent and morality are not correlated, and I think there’s nothing wrong with enjoying art regardless of who made it.

But also, there’s nothing wrong with calling out shitty people, and if knowing the origin does affect your enjoyment of the art that’s a totally valid reason to avoid it. Kinda hard to vibe to something made by a pedophile like Watkins imo, and that could be the same thing someone else feels about Nazis. Either opinion is fine.
