Definitely much faster and more immediate than their other reunion albums. Still very predictable but much more energetic

Really great riffs, album is great. Can’t help but to say I would rate this higher if the vocals didn’t leave me wanting something more. Unfortunately what’s holding it back from a 4 or even higher.

Considering Tomas was about to have surgery for his cancer right after he recorded vocals for this album, I’d say he did a perfect enough job for the situation he was in.

Besides, The Nightmare of Being was a great album despite his vocals.

Rips, if a bit safe at times. Vox are acceptable to me considering hardcore vox get pretty rough lmao. Also didn't see the news that Tomas passed, either; terrible loss for metal imo. Slaughter of the Soul was one of the first death metal albums I'd ever heard. Gotta go back through their discog now.

Nvr been a big fan of Tomas’ style of vocals but I am reminded of Antony Hämäläinen’s vox on Ancient Settlers - Our Last Eclipse album which I dug heavily. So gonna give this a real chance. Playing is great.

RIP Tomas sad loss.

If not too soon I reckon Antony Hämäläinen would be a great fit for ATG based on his performance on Our Last Eclipse

It's super front loaded, first 4 tracks all rip ass. The track in Swedish is a monster. Middle is pretty middle, then there's some good prog-ish tracks similar to the last album in the final third. Uneven album but the highs are good enough I still thought this was a great send-off.

It's no pity party or teary eyed goodbye, its defiant and fired up, which is the perfect way to send Tomas and the band (presumably) off.

Yeah, this is very solid. Great riffs all round and the vocal performance, considering the situation he was in, is very good.

Man didn't realize he died. I've never been the biggest ATG fan but they were so important for so many bands I really liked at various points in my life. Big RIP.

Listening to the album now and it's off to a solid start. Doesn't really jump out at me, but it's fun.
