After three days this is where the songs are very loosely landing for me. Every song is excellent which says a lot.
5/5 - Seven Degrees, Choo Choo, Still Around
4.5/5 - Certainly, Hot Air Balloon, Something Worth Waiting For, Guess
4/5 - Dear Bicycle, Alice

yeah this is really nice! grew on my after another listen. prefer it to the debut but i do miss some of that punk-y noisey energy. the ballad's are way better done though. this sounds even more like bends era radiohead but done through a more pop centric lens. dig that a ton. bit of britpop in here too and just a bit of beatles worship on seven degrees lol. i love this vocalist so much, crushes it. such great energy and delivery. this is the kind of bombastic and accessible indie that that has been missing in the mainstream. not enough of it around.
certainty using that full orchestra is a jaw dropper, used to perfection. probably my song of the year so far. hot air balloon is also fantastic. first 3 song run as well. what an album!

Nah... not feeling it. I hear slightly above average standard indie-rock fare.

This will be the best standard indie rock album of the year.
The only question is do you in 2026 have a desire for a standard indie rock album? This is an awesome throwback album.

I’m with markjamie on this. Decent album, has some high points, but doesn’t shake me. Perhaps I’m just not ready for an indie rock album with chamber/twee vibes these days. And perhaps it’ll all change as soon Summer fully arrives.

Album doesn't shake me, but instead makes me feel like I'm floating. On a warm summer evening.

In terms of twee indie this absolutely destroys that latest BCNR album.
Maybe people are finding loads of good catchy indie albums but this is definitely the most consistent I’ve heard since Covid at the very least.
Has Conor Oberst/NMH folk, Beatles/Elliot Smith on Seven Degrees and the t/t, has some ‘Funeral’, some ‘Bends’ ‘n Buckley, some Strokes. Still think they retain their own voice too.
