I love franz ferdinand and can't wait till they come out with a new album. oh and all of you other Franz Ferdinand should check out Moving Units they sound like Franz Ferdinand with a bit of Interpol mixed in.

How can people say that they are samey, the songs on an album are chosen because they all fit together, they might have had loads but the chosen ones went together best. anyway thats their style.
Grreat review and i cant wait to see what their next albums like

This Band is Very catchy. I like that the band has a sort of funkier sound to them like in "Tell Her Tonight". I still find myself singing 40' in the middle of class.

What i love about this album is that i can listen to it, no matter what mood i'm in, and come out with a big grin ear to ear. This CD really helps to cheer me up.
Hooray for Franzy!

Great review. I'm not a fan by any means, but solid review.

I got this album late last year I thought I lost it but uncovered it recently and I can say I still love the simplistic stle. Also their new album is called 'you could have it better with....' something like that anyway I cant wait from the single do you want to which is just as catchy

I read that they were originally going to self-title all of their albums and just give them different colour schemes. Management suggested that it might be confusing for fans. Good choice.
Also, heard their new one - love it!

Their management should die. That would be a neat, somewhat pretensious approach to it.
Party poopers.

Single is due September 19th, album is October 3rd, I think (British dates).
Here in Canada/US I assume both will come out a day later.

I really didn't like this (mainly because I was addicted to Radiohead) but new single 'Do you want to' is amazing I've the new album on pre order
|

I saw the video for 'Do You Want To" a couple days ago and have heard it a lot on the radio, personally it drove me up the walls. I didn't think much of the bands first two singles from their first album, but the band is good live.

I just want to say I totally agree especially that Dark of the Matinee thing. The first time I heard it it got stuck in my head just like you said.Very good job on this interview.Nothing you said was wrong.

ok a very backdated response but
"I'm listening to an interview with Alex right now, and apparently they're doing a matinee gig in Glasgow where adults are only allowed if they bring a kid as well... most strange. They've also written what they want to be the Scotland World Cup '06 song, apparently it consists of three notes and one word. I would like to hear it."
i have to say that gig rocked it was an hour and a half long and we got a free poster...i'm only 15, 14 last year so i got in
