The thing is I genuinely don't know where the black metal is at in this, it's pretty much gone. Also think it makes a big difference for a black metal band to water their way down into an accessible metalcore sound vs. a metalcore band experimenting towards black metal or something.

I can't disagree with that. There's definitely still some bm trems at times, but its like 98% melodic metalcore.

I didn't like much of the singles I peeped. idk harsh vocal verses and clean vocal choruses are like a giant red flag for songwriting that I just heard the entire song. I tried to push past that gut instinct with Nomad but was proven right. I'll give it a shot but I expect this to be ass.

Honestly this wasn't bad, but I think the two main things that really didn't jive for me were all the songs bleeding together and sometimes the cheese got to be too much like in Stardust.

They flew too close to the sun with Stardust unfortunately. Actually found myself laughing at that one.

@alkemist- Fish was ex-BMTH yea and he produced their albums. I think most would agree they got WORSE after he left as he was responsible for the very glossy metal core sound, and he has since gone on to be a prominent producer in the scene. He did the recent Poppy and Spiritbox albums off head

And Architects .... He changed their sound big time, along with the loss of Jared : (

Yeah basically if you want a mainstream pop metal sound to appeal to the lowest common denominators you get ol Fish on board. He’s on the phone to these guys right now no doubt

Yee Sempiternal was the last one of theirs I paid attention to. Once I started hearing them on mainstream rock radio next to like Hinder and Nickleback I knew it was over lol
