I try to seperate the artist from the music sometimes but some artists that is harder to do than with others
I even stayed clear of Burzum until last year, but as a norwegian i have been more exposed to media coverage of him than maybe people living outside of my country has. Cant deny he has some good albums even tho he is full of shit. Same goes for Faust.
