this sounds really interesting. don't listen to country at all but i should branch out a bit. this review really sells it alkemest. weird psychedelic, gothic punk country? sounds amazing. seems like a good bridge to get into the genre more with stuff i'm a bit more familiar with.

haha! i've grown to like country influence in indie/alt stuff. thinking like cruel bloom on axe to fall which is basically a gothic country song. any similarities there?

Actually listening to that I could definitely see some similarities. I'd say if you like that, you'll definitely like this album! Although Cruel Bloom also kind of reminds me of Those Poor Bastards circa 2008-10. I always plug Brown Bird - Salt to Salt too since it's so damn good.
I'll give you a heads up too Hawks when I see the vinyls come back in case you're interested!

awesome! i'll definitely give this a go, maybe tonight. those two bands sound interesting as well, really interesting album art on salt to salt. i will have to make note of that, definitely was interested in stuff like cruel bloom and didn't know where to go. now i do. appreciate it man!
