nice review sowing, definitely prefer his debut to this... similarly to his last 2 albums tracks like cinema I do return to but everything else is pretty forgetable
that being said it's grown a bit on me since release

If American Girls serves as indicator of the quality on this album, I'll be absolutely baffled by how people pull any enjoyment out of this. Is this about dodging any risk to recreate Coldplay levels of blandness?

This is ever-so-slightly growing on me, actually
'American Girls' and 'Ready, Steady, Go!' are getting better with time now. The writing and vocal performances all over the album are still tough to stomach, however.
