i mean this is almost as much a death doom album as it is a symphonic bm album and death doom certainly does not live and die by hooks. i would also say no need to put music in boxes where any album of a genre has to be a certain thing for it to be enjoyable or have merit

I certainly don’t think it’s bad or anything. The final two tracks are pretty sweet. I just think it’s too long and its ideas are stretched too thin. cut a track and condense some of the best ideas and it becomes a much more engaging complete listen.

though i would agree that this should have been cut by about 10 mins
