haha nah i think it's accurate enough! you just wouldn't hear the back half of your apocalypse and parts of the t/t or mortal on your standard profound lore release. the riffing here is more accessible too in a good way

Yeah, the "accessibility" I think is what snagged me so hard with this album. It really has all of the boxes ticked: fun, good riffs with heavy splashes of dissonance for interesting texture.
I listened to it like three times in a row and then preordered the vinyl haha

This deserves way more attention than it has been receiving. There isn't a weak song on here, but "Your Apocalypse" is definitely my favorite. I'm slowly learning this album on the drums and it's been a blast to play along with.

Well long story short I retired from DJing some years ago, but a very close friend who really believed in me was always giving me shit for giving up on touring and pursuing more gigs etc. Anyways, he tragically passed away and after all the dust settled I ended up inheriting his DJ gear. So I started mixing again, but now I'm stem mixing, breaking tracks into their essential elements, scouring high and low for perfection, recombining them etc to make what is basically going to be an hour + album of a mix. It's a shitshow and way more work than I expected, but here we are. It's almost done.
Tldr; I've found myself in a weird liminal space between DJing and producing. That odd slipstream that not many people inhabit

It might be because of my general preference toward this kind of structurally dense angular Gorguts-inspired disso/techy death metal sound, but this indeed riffs, and is very tightly performed, composed, and pretty well produced (also that bass tone). Great stuff.

Still jamming this hard, can't wait for my vinyl to show up.
Also, parts of the cover art remind me so much of the Fire Keeper Eyes from Dark Souls III, which is awesome lol
