The guys are on a ramp to success with their social media game, they're very good. Expect less weird stuff and more "to the point" stuff as they head into mainstream. I mean, let them get some money ..

they really gained a dedicated fan base with all their social media posts, some of the stuff is ridiculous lol, but fun. it was definitely the time to push with accessible material to solidify a larger fan base, they deserve it

finally started checking them out like a week ago starting with self-titled... grabbed the first DISCO as well, might listen to that in a little bit
probably will check RAT WARS before this since the titles imply they companion

Yeah this does not do that much for me, agree that it lacks the highlights that Rat Wars had.

Definitely a hard hitting album in terms of how heavy and djun djun djun it all is. But I'm finding this version of HEALTH to be sort of tiresome. I was exhausted on Rat Wars after only a couple of listens and I was hyped to hell and back after the singles. Feeling similarly now after just one run through of the DLC

feel like one of those artists i enjoy everything about apart from the actual music lol. singles were mixed but ultimately felt samey, which trends with all their previous stuff

HEALTH / Get Color tho
and yeah, the 'actual music' is kinda important I reckon

Needs more spins but feels decidedly like a step down. Bit bland.

I saw them live one time and they legit have to be the absolutely worst band I’ve ever seen live. Their music is alright though. Just doesn’t transfer over to a live setting well. Opening track is a pretty cool vibe. Will check this out tonight

It was aight. First two songs are pretty great vibes and kinda fell off after that. But at the same time, while I’ve liked their music, I’ve never really felt strongly for them either. It probably doesn’t help that they kinda remind me a bit of Silversun Pickups playing a little close to industrial electronic music. Imma tell you after seeing them live, it’s almost hard to have a positive view of them. They and Show Me the Body opened for Daughters in December 2019. Daughters and Show Me the Body were great though.

you saw em just before they really started leaning into the uber accessible, fun stuff so that couldve contributed to your poor reception of their live performance. I saw em a couple years ago and it was awesome

Sad when their best stuff is a video game soundtrack. I want that version of HEALTH back.

I've always really enjoyed their live show lol. Seen them 5-6 times, always been great

Health has been hit-or-miss for me in the past, but I've really been enjoying this. I've listened to it cover-to-cover about a half dozen times almost effortlessly; it's very easily enjoyable but doesn't really seem to sacrifice any longevity to do so.
Kinda hoping this may help me retroactively be able to get into their other records more, because there's a lot about their sound that I really like.

I only know these guys from that Max Payne song but that shit hits hard

I quite liked Rat Wars, but the question I keep asking is if I really need another record by this band.
