They actually did a pretty cool cover of Umbrella...

Damn straight. And they weren't even supposed to play that song for Punk Goes Crunk. I forget what they were originally going to do but it didn't work out and they already knew how to play Umbrella. Hooray for mistakes working out for the better. Oh the things you learn from recording with Paul Leavitt's assistant.

I recently realized that the vocalist of this band looks almost exactly like the vocalist/guitarist in my band.

i think this review makes the EP sound a bit more... "summer-y" than it struck me as.
based on their full length, i was expecting really happy, upbeat songs - it seems more like melencholy pop punk. its fast and catchy... but borderline sad in alot of parts.
except jasey rae :D

Seriously an amazing review! i know im late commenting, but i just found out about this site and love to hear what other people have to say on music. honestly, ATL is my favorite pop-punk band. they have some serious song writing ability, they have a knack for making each instrument stand out in different sections(all perfectly timed) and this cd is pretty much perfect. especially for just a little EP.
Listening to this cd is great because its back when they were still semi-small, and more raw and not overproduced. I love hearing Alex before being edited, because now he sounds a little too-robot style perfect...
AMAZING EP.

Put Up or Shut Up is probably ALT best album. Great review!!

It's funny how you went into so much depth with songs that sound so similar.
I really like this album, I just wish it were longer.

How much you like this 23 minute EP 'Put Up or Shut Up' may depend on whether you had previously heard All Time Low's debut LP 'The Party Scene'. Presumably due to a label switch, the teenage Baltimore quartet re-record 5 of the 7 tracks which appear here, adding a slightly slicker sheen to increase their fan-base exponentially. Catchy pop-punk is once more the name of the game, with the 2 new tunes being solid, if not sensational. Since many falsely believe this to be the band's debut release, I guess it was mission accomplished in a sense. Recommended Tracks: The Party Scene, The Girl's A Straight-Up Hustler & Break Out! Break Out!

Don’t like this quite as much as I did back in middle school, but this is still some insanely solid pop punk

I think I prefer the Party Scene versions over each of the versions on this one. Even worse, I greatly prefer the acoustic Jasey Rae over this one too. Not looking good for this on re-listen.
