"Daron was the worst part of system and the main reason why mesmerize/hypnotize were so bad. the second serj took a backseat they sucked."

Also just to add to this, Serj was basically over SOAD by the time they were doing these two albums, so i guess Daron was doing what he could to keep the ball rolling, but man, after reading Serj's book it's very frustrating hearing the dynamic they have in that band. According to him, it's basically: Daron writes the music, serj sings it and based off of Scars, i can see why Serj didn't want to sing any of that shit as SOAD.

I'll defend System's final two albums because IN THIS HOUSE WE APPRECIATE SYSTEM. But I've been content just listening to Daron's singles from his solo projects. They Say was peak and still mid. Might give this a spin at some point though.

dictator is better and much less stilted/forced than this by a fair margin

daron (cocaine angel voice) sings better than serj (dying goat gargling fish mucus voice), though the two working together is better than either separately, and he is the most valuable instrumental member

me right, u all wrong, the people cannot assess art properly, gg
