As far as old school bands that braved the thrash dark ages of the mid 90’s to mid 00’s these guys consistently ran laps around all of the big 4. I’ve enjoyed revisiting their last few albums before giving this a listen

Dude how does Chuck Billy still sound this fucking good at 63? My god his harsh vocals are so good, especially his lows. It's massively impressive not just given his age but the fact his harsh vocals sound even better than they ever have. just wow!

Stoked to jam this, fucking love this band. To Willie's point, Demonic and Souls of Black are their weakest albums by far, but I can still find a couple redeeming tracks on each lol.



The Ritual rules and hits that early/mid 90s Black Album sweet spot. Paradise Lost was doing the British doom version of it at the time too.
