a bit tepid on this based off the singles especially after LOVING the last ep. Happy to see a review with a decent review though!

btw, really happy to have you back to reviewing Sowing. You are doing God's work here.

It's definitely the most memorable song for me. So infectious and powerful.

My vinyl copy showed up this morning. I just finished my first listen, and my early impressions are that it’s quite good. I’ll have to listen a few more times, but I liked Technicolor Blues and Satellite in Love a lot (along with the singles).

Oh awesome. I love when I order something and it arrives before the release date.

The singles so far have ranged from... it's fine to pretty solid. Which for their standards is disappointing. Still can't wait to jam it but not expecting their best material.

Nice review. Interesting that you didn't think cemetery sun was a standout. Been my favourite of the singles. Can't wait to his this.

I remember getting Gore by Deftones like 3 days before it dropped, there’s a song transition that makes it sound like a VHS reversing and I almost shit my pants because I thought the record was fucked up

Anyways that’s about what I expected from this: good tunes but maybe a little bit of stagnancy? the singles I heard didn’t really blow me away, like, I think every song on Stereo Grief is better, but I will give this a shot because these guys are extremely underrated and one of the best new school metalcore bands out there.

And they do at least partially fill that ETID shaped hole in my heart, along with Greg and Jordan’s best efforts with Better Lovers ofc

Oh and they absolutely kill live. If you get the shot do not pass it up, they’re amazing.

I think this is definitely there most mature record and while slightly less frantic, offering some really strong songwriting and stunning melodies. technicolor blues is a god damn hit

don’t get me wrong I’m still very much excited to jam this I’m just not expecting something that reinvents the wheel… or anything as good as Stereo Grief for that matter. That’s legit one of the best metalcore EPs of all time imo

If there's any song as good as Sick & Lavish I'll eat my hat
