3.8 ain't too bad for a band. I'll check them out.

great record for a band that's been practically doing the same thing their entire career.

Yeah very cookie cutter but very well-done imo

Eh I wouldn't agree on that statement. They didn't do any dissodeath earlier in their career like they did on the last album (which I also wasn't a fan of)

i wouldn't consider netherheaven dissodeath but they def started incorporating more of that sound starting with GIOS. their sound has been veryyyyy incremental overall going from thrash to just pure dm. even their more adventurous tracks don't feel like the apple fell far from the tree. you basically know what you're getting with a revocation album for better or worse

Hurts to give out that 2.5 but man this was pretty bland. They are so much better as a catchy death/thrash band than a full on death metal band. They have failed to truly grab my attention ever since Deathless tbh but this was the most bored I've ever been by them sadly.

I actually think I prefer them as a straight up death metal band honestly

i prefer their thrashy death stuff but this was the first time they fully hit on dm. brought the fun back from their early material

This was my first experience with them. Will have to check some of their other stuff to see if it clicks hard.

This band has always been on the verge of excellence to me, but never quite there. Consistent 3.5 band in my book, although a couple of albums are closer to a 4.
