Lay a Wreath is PL moving into unguarded Anathema territory - it’s nice enough

Lay a Wreath is a huge track, it may not be the best positioned (tho i think it's fine personally), don't get the hate Gonzo, seriously

Albums great, just the track layout its a bit fucked tbh. Lay a wreathes not amazing but it works as a mid album pallete cleanser but the albums frontloaded as hell so kind of left sitting in a slow rut from Wreathe to savage days.

Salvation should have been mid point high or the closer. It being a single and being placed so early really hinders the epicness of the track

Lay a Wreath wasnt terrible at all lol. Maybe poorly placed on the album though, would play better towards the end. Great record

The album's sound work is massive.

I love how natural the trigger-free double bass sounds in "Diluvium"

After a first listen, this is a lot to take in with the bonus tracks, but most of it sounded really good. Excellent write-up

Same with The Precipice. When the double bass drops it really elevates the song

Holme's voice and melodies for this record are another level. I think it's my favourite performance from their late era.

Enjoying this album, feels so long since Obsidian. Some great songs on it but agree a few tracks in the middle section makes it lag more than it has too.

The Precipice is a chuggy behemoth of a track!
