It’s all the armed and these guys this weekend. That kayo dot is cool but is more of a background album than those other two

kayo dot's album is interesting but hard to enjoy after a couple of listens. it's demanding and too eccentric imo

Gotta be honest, I got 3 tracks into new KD and turned it off because I wanted riffs.

Another good comparison for this is Shrouded Divine by In Mourning. Those clean sections mixed with all the monstrous dm riffing just hit so hard. Some wank, but more atmospheric than anything. Yeah, this is top tier stuff.

idk this is pretty generic gojira-core

i feel like calling it death metal is a misnomer cause death metal just doesnt sound like this.

i'm no expert on death metal, but i can definitely hear a good chunk of that here. can hear the gojira stuff too, and even a bit of btbam now that it's been said lol

To me it sounds like a solid melodic/progressive death metal release. I think Hawks' comparison to In Mourning is spot on (they have an album coming out this year, by the way). I don't hear Gojira here at all, and definitely not any 'core' influences... but I'm also not really a Gojira fan so...

This absolutely fucking rips. One of the best releases so far this year, for sure.

Never heard of them before but will listen because the album art reminded me of Schoolyard Heroes -

Listened to the debut and man what a step up this is for them.

Band reminds me a lot of Conjurer with this one.

Only heard track 1 of the debut but I'm not excited to further check it. This is indeed a huge step up
