I'm happy people are coming around about deathcore always being dope too. A long time coming

I mean a lot of is has sucked and does suck so the backlash towards the subgenre was quite founded

I always say that I don't dig most bands in the genre post 2010. Proprioception by And Hell Followed With was the last "classic" deathcore album I truly loved. This band and Zarathustra give me hope for the future though

what's funny, deathcore was already taken all the places it could conceivably go before like 2015
I mean exoplanet came out in 2009 and scryers of the ibis in 2013, and nothing even remotely as adventurous has come out since. now there's supposedly a revival, but that's pretty much only because Will Ramos is a pretty boy - and OG fans of the genre gravitate more towards the early bree bree style anyway

Psycho-Frame #1 on Sputnikmusic. The trve metal old ass basterds who used to dominate this site be rolling in their graves hahahaha. We outlived you, the reign of trve metal neckbeards is over. This is our era

shut your cringey ass up, we’re still here. what’s sad is the younger ones who follow the internet to hate on it while not keeping an open mind or listening to what influences this. this is solid stuff and band kicks ass live.

Pretty impressive music yeah, but I can't really withstand how it sounds. Deathcore in general isn't as bad as I thought it is, but it's still not rly my thing.
I think it's less of a generational, "no more elitist shite" in metal thing, and more of that this is just pretty good music for deathcore.

This was a massive nothingburger for me. 0 new ground tread, and what happened on it just didn’t tickle any of my fancies

I am pretty surprised to see so many high scores. There's some fun to be had here but this isn't really pushing deathcore anywhere

Yeah, for my deathcore itch I'll still go to Fit for an Autopsy and Shadow of Intent. Thus Spoke Zarathustra is nice too.
