Wholeheartedly agree with the critiscism of reducing their achievements to one album. I have to say that Whisper Supremacy and self titled are my favorite Crytop albums..
I was a bit underwhelmed by Gomorrah, it somehow slightly lacked punch for me. The singles of this one delivered, gonna check it soon.

The riff game has finally started mending together it schizophrenic tendencies alongside more hook laken chugs in a way that is truly testosterone inducing and ball SLAPPING
I do and will always miss my tin can snare but alas we cannot have it all

As Gemorrah Burns is not a top tier record of the 2020s but it's very good yeah. I think it's well worth the listen because the front half is like a 4.5
So glad Hawks reviewed this. Shit rules and we can't keep sleeping on Cryptopsy here

Also also agree with the criticisms of boiling this band’s accomplishments down to none so vile alone. That’s selling them way short, and personally, as much as I love lord worm’s vocals, the manic riffing and superhuman drums are what make cryptopsy, cryptopsy.

yeah people give matt a ton of shit because he was on the unspoken king, replacing the past his prime lord worm (seriously, as cool as once was not is he's not the same as on NSV).
sure his vocals may have deathcore influences but i really feel bad for the guy since he gets so much hate. he does a pretty good job and his screams are pretty decent, if a bit too high pitched. plus i think the whole social media commentary is pretty interesting, but for sure a bold step. again, when people see it they dismiss it, which kind of proves his point.
i do like that here people don't have ridiculous preconceived notions, so gud job guis
